Why we use it

We use enquiry information to assess whether secondsweep is a fit for your business, reply to you, discuss or provide our services, and keep a record of the conversation.

Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We also rely on legitimate interests to run and protect the business, prevent spam and fraud, and answer business enquiries. We balance those interests against your privacy rights and only use the information we need.

Marketing

We do not add you to a mailing list merely because you make an enquiry. We may follow up about the enquiry you sent us. You can ask us to stop at any time by emailing sales@secondsweep.co.uk.

Who receives it

We use Formspree to process contact-form submissions and send notification emails to us. Formspree processes those submissions for us. We also use service providers that host this website and provide email or business administration tools. We may share information with professional advisers, insurers or public authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we use an adequacy decision or another lawful safeguard required by UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep unsuccessful enquiries for up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact. If you become a client, we keep relevant records for the length of the relationship and for up to six years afterwards where needed for legal, financial or dispute-resolution purposes. If you become a client and provide customer quote or contact data for us to follow up, your business remains the data controller and secondsweep acts on your documented instructions as a data processor. The processing terms for that work are agreed separately before we start.
